Jennifer Rene Psaki
Jennifer Rene Psaki is an American political advisor who served as the 34th White House press secretary from 2021 to 2022. She is a member of the Democratic Party and previously served as the White House deputy Press Secretary (2009), the White House deputy Communications Director (2009-2011) and the spokesperson for the US Department of State (2013-15) and the White House communications direct (2015-17). Psaki contributed to CNN's political coverage from 2017 through 2020. Psaki began her career with the 2001 re-election campaigns Iowa of Tom Harkin and Tom Vilsack Both Democrats for the U.S. Senate. Psaki was then appointed deputy press secretary for John Kerry's 2004 presidential election campaign. Psaki was communications director of Joseph Crowley, a U.S. Representative, and the regional press secretary for the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee from 2005 to 2006. In 2012, Psaki returned to political communications as press secretary for President Obama's 2012 reelection campaign. 20 Psaki resigned as spokesperson for United States Department of State on February 11 2013. [20] It was speculated that she was to replace Jay Carney as White House Press Secretary.[21] However, Josh Earnest was announced to replace Carney on May 30, 2014. She was named communications director at the White House and continued to continue to do so until the end of the year in 2015.
