Kyra Minturn

 Kyraminturn Sedgwick was born on August 19th, 1965. She is an American actor and producer. Her leading role on the crime drama TNT The Closer as Deputy Chief Brenda Leigh Johnson is her most famous. Sedgwick was awarded two Emmy Awards in 2010 as well as 2007 for her portrayal Johnson. The seventh season of the series concluded on August 13, 2012. Sedgwick is also well-known for her regular role as Madeline Wuntch on the sitcom Brooklyn Nine-Nine. Sedgwick received a Golden Globe nomination for her performance as Madeline Wuntch in Something to Talk About (1995). Sedgwick's roles in other films include Oliver Stone's Born to the Fourth of July (1989) as well as Cameron Crowe's solos (1992), Heart and Souls(93), Phenomenon (1996) and What's Cooking (2000) as well as Secondhand Lions (2003). The Game Plan (2007) and The Possession (2012). Sedgwick was born in New York City, the daughter of Patricia (nee Rosenwald), who was a speech instructor and educational/family therapy therapist, and Henry Dwight Sedgwick V, an investor in venture capital. Her mother was Jewish. Her father was an Episcopalian of English descent. Sedgwick has identified herself as Jewish and has stated that she is a part of Passover seders.
